News - April 2010 FIFTIES GALOUR :

VALLEELAKE 2 : 26th April

26th - 1st May .. Lake 2 ending up with over 32 thities - 38lbs and a handful of twenties.. A great average weight in the thirties and all fish in super condition .

Lake 1 still producting big fish with another big 50 to 55lb 1oz comming out to Paul Housgo in swim 9 , Nathan Defose having three forties to 49lb and a handful of thirties including a nice 35lb Common in swim 10 . The Lodge producing 4 forties to 47lb and several upper 30s to a delighted 1st timer to France Jamie Smith..
Regular Paul Ware fishing the Cabin also no t missing out with three fish over 40in to 47lbs and several thirties.

Swim 3/4 rested with Justin fishing the odd night in swim 5 Banking a 35lb Cat and mid thirty mirror.

12 thirties banked this week end to upper thirty .Fish comming out to all areas of the lake with temperatures rising to 22degree over the weekend.
A 71lb Sturgeon also shocking one angler for his first take of the week end. Lots of fish being spoted on the top - may be a chance for the floaters as the fish seem to be mouthing on the top ..

VALLEELAKE 1 - producing fifties each week since the season 2010 started :
This week with no exception producing no less than 11 fish over 40lbs including another 3 fifties this week topping off with a Superb 58LB 4oz Mirror comming out in SWIM 9 to Stuart and Nick Bunn.
two other fifties comming out in swim 1 and swim 4.
Paul Brading finishing off his week in style having three forties on his last night .. Fish many comming out at night with one of big 50s comming out during the after noon .

Water tempertures still cold and frost most mornings ..

Lake 2 . fish starting to shoul and show on top with the day time temperatures warming up - No fishing at the moment due to car park excavation work , however bait still going in regulary to resume fishing .

52lber PB for Andy Bristow -

Andy Bristow broke his pb a number of times with starting with a 70lb + Sturgeon followed by two forties and a stunnng 52lber .

Another pb for mr smith fishing swim 4 to a gravel patch 40yrs out producing his best fish @ 44lbs -- a number of thirties and 20s also comming out on VL1 ..

Fishing becoming quiet though after a cold spell on both lakes - with icey mornings and hail - producing only a handful of fish a nunber of thirties on VL2 a some big fish lost - and upper 20s on VL1 - fish starting to move a little more though with temperatures slowly going up - water temps hovering around 11 degrees only .
